Kolea Project Information

Kolea is a luxury beachfront property within the Waikoloa Beach Resort.  It has 17 custom oceanfront home sites and 126 condominium units.  Buildings comprise three floors of two- and three-bedroom villas featuring exquisite garden or ocean views.  Richly appointed interiors include a gourmet kitchen with granite countertops, custom appliances and a wine cabinet; a large master suite with walk-in closet; and a spacious laundry room with full-sized washer and dryer. Living rooms feature an expansive pocket door that opens onto a private lanai.  Each lanai has koa wood cabinetry, a grill, a refrigerator and a sink. Some units have an extra, small lanai outside the master bedroom.

This quiet Big Island retreat, with its elegant palms framing meticulous lawns and vibrant shrubbery, invites you to relax. The fragile ponds that border Kolea are a haven for exotic fish and rare birds. A-Bay beach provides access to activities such as snorkeling, diving, boogie boarding and wind surfing. Rental equipment is obtained from the beach’s concession stand along with reservations for sail charters.

Kolea Pool PhotoAmenities in this deluxe Waikoloa Beach vacation resort include a Beach Club featuring an infinity-edge pool, children’s pool, lava rock hot tub, fitness center, and outdoor dining tables.  Pre-arranged private gatherings are held at the Beach Club pavilion with its adjoining kitchen. Various pedestrian gates throughout the property provide access to a path that leads, minutes away, to the soft white sands of Anaehoomalu beach.

Kolea is centrally located next to the Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort and Spa, and across the street from the Kings’ Shops.  It is also within a short walk to the Queens’ Marketplace offering more shops and restaurants as well as a gourmet grocery store and deli.  Kolea is the Hawaiian name for the Pacific Golden Plover, a shorebird that travels from Alaska to the Pacific Islands each winter and is commonly seen around the resort’s golf courses and lawns.
